S.L. Hero   click image to enlarge

S.L.Hero previously Avondale was built in approximately 1895 probably by Andrews of Maidenhead as an electric launch. (see Edward Hawthorne’s book Electric boats on the Thames)  She is 35 ft long beam 5ft 6 inches and a draft of 2ft.   Over the last 18 months a great deal of professional time has been spent on her replacing her keel, ribs and most of the underwater planking, the workmanship is of the highest quality.  My circumstances have changed, which results me in looking for someone who would like to take on the project.  The majority of the work is done and she would make a fantastic and historic electric launch.
